Alan comes to New Beginnings at Lake Charles with over 30 years of experience in the behavioral health field. He is a seasoned treatment professional who has worked in multiple positions at treatment centers throughout the southeast.
Before Alan joined the Clinical Team of New Beginnings at Lake Charles, he spent most of his career serving the underserved population. His past positions have included Director of Development, Program Director, Training Director, Lead Counselor and Chief Marketing Officer. Most recently, Alan served as a Family Liaison where he assisted the CEO in providing online programming for families who are affected by a loved one struggling with a substance use disorder. Alan’s vast and extensive knowledge of addiction treatment allows him to provide our patients with the most current and effective addiction therapy.
As Clinical Coordinator, Alan’s main role is to manage the needs of our patients in their treatment program and ensure that they all have access to the therapies and treatments necessary to progress in their recovery. He implements all components of NBLC’s programs, manages clinical staff, counsels patients, ensures regulatory compliance and continuously seeks to improve our patient services. He provides leadership and oversight of the Clinical Programs and is responsible for supervision, direction and feedback to all Counselors.
Alan, along with his wife Beverly, recently moved to Lake Charles to be closer to their daughter and granddaughter. As a proud grandfather and an avid sports fan, Alan spends most of his free time with his granddaughter and watching and playing sports.
